Details

This workshop presents an overview of the two basic requirements–Small/Micro Business Certification and eVA Registration–for a small business to be positioned to conduct business with the state’s government agencies as well as many of the local government agencies within the state which use eVA as their eProcurement Portal. It also highlights tips and best practices for selecting the appropriate commodity codes, analyzing the market potential for your particular business, targeting buyers in specific state agencies which buy the goods and/or services your company provides, and navigating Virginia’s eProcurement Portal to maximize your opportunities for state and local government business. The targeted audience for this workshop is start-up businesses and emerging small businesses.

Each year the state buys goods and services totaling more than $8 billion. The Commonwealth of Virginia wants to do business with you and increase participation of small, women owned, and minority-owned businesses. This workshop will provide information about the Virginia procurement process (eVA).

If you are interested in doing business with the Commonwealth, the SBSD has a broad range of resources to help. We encourage you all to attend this workshop to take advantage of this great opportunity.
The workshop will be presented by Courtney Mustin, Business Services Manager of the Central Virginia Region for the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity.
