The Economic Development Department of Stafford County is energized to promote the many and diverse retail opportunities the County has to offer.   Stafford representatives regularly attend ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) events.   The County has attended the Mid-Atlantic ICSC show 3 years in a row.
 
Two new mixed-use communities were approved for development in 2016:
Stafford Village - The Pence Group
Aquia Town Center - Mosaic Realty Partners

The county has welcomed many new retailers in the last several months.  Recent wins include:
Mission BBQ, Panera, 2 Chipotles, Quickway, Starbucks, Freddy's, Block Advisors, Dunkin Donuts, Sarku, and others.   Read Business News for other recent announcements.  

The $500 Million Retail Gap

Recent research identified a $500 Million Retail Gap.  The County's elected leadership works diligently to enhance retail and restaurant choices for its residents. The comprehensive retail attraction study is below.  The final report includes key data, trade area statistics, as well as specific recommendations for increasing and enhancing retail growth opportunities in Stafford County.
