UMW Continuing Professional Studies – Wine Exploration Course

This two-day, evening course will develop your knowledge and confidence around all things wine including, taste, presentation and storage, tradition, Terroir, and growing methods, and culminating in a sensory experience using the Aroma Wheel. The course is taught by Skip Causey, Owner of Potomac Point Winery and Vineyard.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

– Discuss how to grape vines grow and the process of making wine
– Navigate a wine list
– Understand Terroir
– Experience a wine sensory class
