Store #6936 is the new “2.0 Prototype” Market and the first Walmart Neighborhood Market to open in Stafford County. It is a convenience” of a smaller format over Supercenters; Community feel. This location will feature two drive-thrus: a Pharmacy and an On-line Grocery. This store incorporates updated signage, polished granite floors, lower counter tops in the deli and bakery for easier ordering, wider aisles and made-to-order pizza. The Market will employ 95 full and part-time.
The Grand Opening included $8,000 in grants to the community: Stafford County Police, Fire & Rescue, North Stafford High School, Virginia Special Olympics, Mountainview High School’s “Kids in Prose” program.
