Since 2005, Virginia Water Gardens has been designing and installing ponds, streams, waterfalls, rainwater harvesting systems, and more at their Stafford County “Pond Superstore”. They are located at 308 Cambridge Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
On a recent visit, owners Net and Charlie Ross provided an update on their business, which began in 1998 and still thrives today. Their business services area primarily remains throughout the Fredericksburg/Richmond region and surrounding area to Northern Virginia, and the company employs 14 during the prime season. Specializations include waterfalls, water features, innovative water gardens, fountains, and more from their Construction Division and retail store. The company is a Master Certified Aquascape Contractor CAC.
Clients and special projects range from Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Chelonia Turtle Park in Florida, and celebrities like Richard Petty, and veterinarian “The Famous Dr. Pol”, where they built a waterfall and wetland base.
A former United States Marine, Charlie’s success with his wife and business partner Net stems from a simple rule: “If you can’t get a Marine to do it, get his wife to do it.”
