STAFFORD, VA – January 5, 2023 – Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care, an independent healthcare organization, joins the Stafford business community located at 1610 Publix Way, Building B Unit 112, Stafford, VA 22554. Committed to providing reliable and excellent healthcare to the Stafford community, they rang in the New Year and were welcomed by the county with a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 2, 2023. The office opens to the public on Monday, January 16, 2023.

I’m proud that our Economic Development Authority was able to support their business expansion through the Business Growth Fund loan program.”
Joining various diverse retail and small businesses, the new Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care is located in the Embrey Mill Town Center. The clinic is owned by Dr. Khan, Sohail, Jolly and Afsari who have been in the patient care industry for more than 25 years. Dr. Khan and Dr. Afsari have been working in the Stafford area for almost four years and also own Garrisonville Urgent Care on Garrisonville Road in north Stafford. The CEO of the company, Galam Khan, MD, has been dedicated in direct patient care in the Commonwealth for the past 10 years. They are excited to open a second facility further south in the community. Patient focused, Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care’s mission puts their patients at the heart of their work and prides itself on integrity, excellence, innovation, and more.

Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care was the first recipient of the Stafford EDA Business Growth Fund. The Business Growth Fund provides market-rate gap financing and working capital to qualified businesses. The Stafford EDA loan of $108,000 provided leasehold improvements to the Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care.
