Debra Balestreri, of Corgi Clay, LLC/Corgi Clay Art Center LLC., opens a Stafford County arts center focused on education in the ceramic arts.

STAFFORD, VA— September 23, 2023— Debra Balestreri, Owner and Operator of Corgi Clay LLC. and now the new Corgi Clay Art Center LLC. announces the opening of the much-anticipated clay art center in North Stafford. You may remember news about the Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to help develop this space back in 2021. Balestreri’s goal of securing $40,000 in pledges made her vision of adding to the value of the arts community in her hometown a reality.

Balestreri states, “This has been a long journey; nearly 3 years. I am so excited to bring this space to Stafford County and have been so humbled by the support this community has shown me over the years.”

Balestreri opened an e-commerce pottery business in the wake of early Covid 2020 known as Corgi Clay LLC and hit the ground running. Offering small classes in pottery for four people, attending the Long Family Markets Farmers Market regularly every Sunday, partnering with local businesses like Barley Naked Brewing Company LLC and the former 610 Donuts to supply mugs and steins to sell, Balestreri saw potential in Stafford County to grow an appreciation for all things ceramics. The Kickstarter campaign helped partially fund her idea of leasing and transforming a space at 15 Tech Parkway along the 610 west Corridor into that reality. The Corgi Clay Art
Center celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, September 23, 2023 attended by local community members, public officials, and friends and family.

“We want to congratulate the owner and operator, Debra Balestreri, on the grand opening and official ribbon cutting of Corgi Clay Art Center. This facility stands as an embodiment of their commitment to education, creativity, and community engagement, fostering inclusivity for all who seek artistic growth, personal development, and professional advancement. This much-anticipated art center will be an incredible addition to the Stafford community.” remarked Crystal Vanuch, the Rock Hill District Board of Supervisor of Stafford County, VA.
